Good recruitment starts with understanding.

Recruitment has become faster, more automated and increasingly volume-led. But technical roles are rarely straightforward, and neither are the people behind them. VTR was created to take a more considered route — understand what matters, communicate clearly and take responsibility for the quality of the work delivered.

I started VTR because I believed there was room to do the fundamentals better.

26 years in technical recruitment. A clear reason for starting VTR.

For more than two decades, I’ve worked across aviation, aerospace and defence, engineering and manufacturing, and energy recruitment.

Over that time, recruitment became faster and more technology-led, but some of the fundamentals began to get lost — properly understanding the requirement, communicating clearly and being accountable to both client and candidate.

I created Verified Technical Recruitment around those fundamentals. Not to make recruitment more complicated, but to bring more care, judgement and responsibility to the work.
